Terms and Conditions

Our Cakes

Please note that all our cakes are hand-made from scratch and may vary slightly from the images on the product page.

Where some of the materials used for our cakes become unavailable; we will select replacement products (of equal or better quality) to reflect the original design as closely as possible. We reserve the right to replace items without consultation.

Our cakes may contain non-edible decorations, such as plastic dowels in tiered cakes or wires in some sugar flowers. These must be removed before the cake is sliced and served.

Our cakes should be stored out of the fridge in a cool dry place and should ideally be consumed within 5 days of delivery. Buttercream cakes should ideally be consumed within 3 days of delivery. Once the cake is cut the contact with the air will begin to dry the sponge so it should be eaten as soon as possible.

If a wedding cake is to be decorated with fresh flowers these are to be provided by your florist. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any fresh flowers displayed on or next to the cake do not contain pesticides and are food-safe (non-toxic).  We cannot be liable for any contamination to our food product that may arise from their misuse.

Payment and Deposit

Orders below £200 must be paid for in full within 24 hours of receiving the invoice. Failure to complete payment may result in your order being cancelled. For orders above £200, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm an order and hold the date. The remaining 50% is due one month before the delivery date.

Refunds and Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances due to any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on that date.

In the event of a cancellation by a client, the following charges apply;

More than three months prior to the date: booking fee only.

Three months to one calendar month prior to the date: 75% of total cost.

Less than one calendar month prior to the date: full amount.

Any payments previously made (for example for consultation and tasting) are not refundable.

We reserve the right to cancel, vary or suspend an order at any time and for any reason. If we cancel your order, any monies paid will be refunded. Flavour Bites or it’s representatives shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from the cancellation.
